Marianne Mearn FNP-C

Nurse practitioner Mearn is a graduate of Regis College certified nurse practitioner program. Her background includes hospital, SNF and home care. Her interest in home care has helped to implement a house calls and transitional care program to prevent prolonged or unnecessary hospital stays.  Her scope of practice also includes general medicine, acute and chronic care management, and some minor procedures. As a certified NP-C in family medicine, she can treat pediatric, adults and geriatric patients.

Experience:  Eight years in community-based Family Practice setting including Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Care                                                and Outpatient Office.

Scope of Practice

Acute and Chronic Medical and Minor Surgical Conditions

  • Acute respiratory and bronchitis, and sinus infection.

  • High blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and thyroid disorders.

  • Cardiac and pulmonary chronic disease, EKG, pulmonary function test, and oximetry in office

Musculoskeletal Pain Management

  • Back and joint pain

  • Pain medication management

Annual Physical, Home Care and Transitional Care, Department of Transportation exams:

Nurse practitioner Mearn has special interest in women's health and caring for homebound patients in the community.

As a board certified NP-C in Family Medicine, NP Mearn is qualified to treat pediatric, adults and geriatric patients.
